These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Nighthawk Rd. north of 160th Rd.

Jeffrey T. Schrier, 56, Wichita, lost control of his 2015 Ram 150 on a slushy road at 2:15 p.m. March 1, according to one of three reports released Friday by the sheriff’s office.

A camper he was pulling jackknifed, separated, tipped over, and ended up on its top in an opposite ditch.

Lori Schrier, 55, of the same address was a passenger.

US-56/77 north of 270th Rd.

Angela L. Davis, 57, Salina, hit a deer at 7:41 p.m. March 6 with a 2025 Ford Maverick.

Zeke Gamble, 15, Wichita, was a passenger.

The car, owned by Enterprise Fleet Management, remained drivable with damage to its front, left, and hood.

K-15 south of 300th Rd.

A 2007 Ford Edge driven by Melissa J. Redger, 48, Hillsboro, crossed K-15’s centerline in strong wind at 10:06 p.m. March 12 and sideswiped an oncoming 2019 Buick Encore owned and driven by Melissa D. Tannahill, 48, Abilene.

Both the Buick and the Ford, owned by Michael J. Duerksen of a different Hillsboro address, remained drivable with damage along their sides.

Deputy Joshua Meliza’s report blames the wreck on strong wind and inattentive driving by Redger. No tickets were listed as being issued
