An “Eyesore of the Flint Hills” sign opposing wind farms that Thomas W. Britain, rural Florence, keeps replacing after it’s vandalized was reported damaged yet again between 1 and 1:10 a.m. May 20.

Britain, who in the past has boasted that he keeps duplicates so he can replace a sign whenever it is vandalized, estimated damage at $200.

Deputy Landis Goodman’s report did not explain how it was known that the vandalism occurred during a specific 10-minute period.

Possession of opiates, marijuana, and paraphernalia

Three smoking pipes and trace amounts of methamphetamine and marijuana were discovered in a vehicle stopped for running a stop sign at 2:25 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of E. D St.

Jason L. Anderson, 52, Peabody, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and a second offense of possessing marijuana along with running the stop sign.
